National Journal Of Hospitality Management ââ¬Myassignmenthelp.Com
Question: Talk About The National Journal Of Hospitality Management? Answer: Introducation Compelling assistance work area or administration work area the executives is a key piece of giving great client support and keeping up a decent client relationship. With this as an explanation, there are not kidding necessities of bettering the exhibition gave by help work areas or administration work areas and their appropriate administration. It would help chiefs in securing brought together inward and outer execution benefits. The thought is of making little strides towards improving assistance instead of basically initiating from the beginning and afterward to a great extent putting resources into the dynamic technique. However, relationship with purchasers face issues at the hour of making little strides, as that causes the association to turn out to be progressively decided on the consolidation and change as opposed to on the inevitable bit of leeway - giving of clients the best client support and having the best type of relationship with them (Lucio-Nieto et al. 2012). Two mo st proficient parts of a decent assistance work area or administration the executives are talked about underneath: Inspecting of existing practices Prior to assuming liability of any type of progress endeavors, there is the need of reviewing what is now being done inside the business that are related with the arrangement of help inside the segments of help work area or administration work area, customers and different branches of the association. Distinctively, it may happen that there exists effectively a few groups and offices that are assuming up the liability of exercises that are like this and there are probabilities that a portion of the significant practices are now arranged set up inside the association that can be additionally advanced and acknowledged somewhere else (Jntti, Cater-Steel Shrestha, 2012). Like for instance, inside any product organization and their inner IT support, standards of IT foundation library (ITIL) are now received, extricating structure which the client care group could profit in a direct way from the ITIL strategy for episodes, issues, discharge and change the board in fluctuated regions like f ollowing item improvement, actualizing and following those new items in the market for the clients (Tang Todo, 2013). Reviews of the administration level administration by dint of administration foundation that is offered by the assistance work area or the administration work area and adjusting of the IT arrangements cautiously with the more extensive needs of the business would likewise bolster. Thought of self assistance arrangements Self assistance arrangements are considered by numerous individuals just like the best arrangement in the event that they are appropriately utilized inside the association. They contain the ability of being enormously productive. The even present the benefits of introducing working out-of-hours inclusion that permits any worry the chance of being in consideration for being estimated to be taken care of on a priority premise the ensuing day. As a rule, the information bases could be recouped by the end client for settling their own issues. Looking from the point of view of help work area or administration work area the board, these types of inclusion could be prove as being enormously practical, apparently removing 33% of the brings toward the main line help work area or administration work area especially in regions, for example, call updates and status checking. This circumstance affects enlistment and staffing levels, releasing workforces in increasingly imaginative territories ins ide concern goals. Regarding this conversation, at a lower level, self-administration can go about similar to the best arrangement. It is amazingly crucial that situational dangers like when the end clients self-regulate enormously specialized goals are kept away from (Kokkinou Cranage, 2013). Lost Boy Essays - Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Lost Boy, Free Essays
Lost Boy Essays - Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Lost Boy, Free Essays Lost Boy Dave Peltzer the creator of The Lost Boy recounts to his story from the time he left his oppressive mother and alcoholic dad, through his encounters in five encourage homes and adolescent confinement, and how he in the end made it into the Air Force. He was an insubordinate, insubordinate kid who, notwithstanding his experience and character, figured out how to charm himself to numerous gatekeepers, social laborers, and educators. Pelzer writes in a legitimate, at times meandering aimlessly, style; he is rarely harsh, and his story will discover numerous thoughtful perusers. The principle reason for Dave to compose this book is to appear at what lengths youngsters and young people have gone to over come the unmentionable hardships of and injurious family. The three most important things I have gained from this book are exceptionally difficult to pick. The book was brimming with numerous things to help me in my regular day to day existence. Extending from instructions to manage kids who have be through harsh circumstances to how children of misuse act in general. The first must be, Dave was prudent by they way he dealt with his contemplations and sentiments. Numerous kids his age are going around pursuing young ladies and hanging with the folks. Not him he was concentrating hard and attempting to be better than his folks were. He would consistently waste away what he had, so nobody could take what was legitimately his what's more, that incorporates his life. The second thing that was valuable was the means by which Dave was never irate with his circumstance he would simply take a gander at it as another test. Ordinarily through out the book Dave would need to change encourage homes in the wake of being genuinely settled in the method of living there. Most youngsters his age cannot deal with a lot of progress however Dave would simply accept circumstances for what they are and never flutter an eyelash lash. The third most significant thing has to be his eagerness to help. I would feel that since nobody would help him he would not help any other individual. In actuality, Dave was continually assisting with tasks, making supper, and doing minimal additional things he didnt need to do. I later discovered through perusing the book that Daves ability to help comes from his need to feel adored and needed. I can genuinely say that I would never have experienced the careful preliminaries and tribulations Dave went however while he was in his teenager yes. It take an uncommon individual to do that and Dave is that unique individual. Child rearing TECHNIQUES Daves mother was a grieved lady who for some obscure explanation got a kick out of the chance to target Dave and reprimand him for all awful things that occurred. His mom was and Legitimate and careless simultaneously. Some may state how might one parent be on the two boundaries of things yet there are a couple of case with in the book which shows both. For instance Daves mother would cause him to do all the tasks and never was so anyone might hear to play. For reasons unknown regardless of whether Dave completed what he was advised to do in the time he was advised to do it he would not be taken care of or more regrettable he would be a piece of his mom Games and Test. His moms Games and Tests extend from placing him in freezing cold water for 5 hours one after another to causing him to sit on the carport ventures with his hands under his base head waterway a head for as long as 36 hours one after another no food, restroom, shower or different needs to live. Dave was spared from this frightfulness when he was 15 yet he was in child care and the child rearing methods ran from dictator to liberal, yet anything was better than what he had suffered at his moms house. Misconduct Dave in his high schooler years was generally a very polite kid. He was buckling down in school and minded his own business generally. In spite of the fact that Dave had a little issue he like to take things with out asking or taking. Daves taking propensities come from his essential endurance needs that he intuitively set up when his mom would cause him to go with out food, water, and fundamental sanitation. Dave on occasion would likewise lash out at his non-permanent families with the goal that they would not get the opportunity to near him. At times when Dave would lash out he would be placed into another cultivate home and have

I wasnââ¬â¢t anticipating it, I just gazed upward and there it was: the nauseating, wicked, destroyed body of a dead officer. Night World : Witchlight Chapter 10
The vehicle coming. Iliana shouting. Also, the sentiment of outright weakness Glass broke. Keller didn't comprehend from the outset. She imagined that Iliana was attempting to break the window and stand out enough to be noticed. Be that as it may, the window was security glass, and what broke was the measuring utencil in Diana's grasp. Blood erupted, amazingly red and fluid. What's more, Iliana continued pressing the messed up glass in her grasp, making increasingly more blood run. Her little face was fixed and inflexible, her lips somewhat separated, her breath held, her entire appearance one of complete focus. She was calling the blue fire. Keller lost her own breath. She's doing it! I'm going to see a Wild Power. Directly here, directly adjacent to me, it's going on! She tweaked her own look back to the vehicle. She was going to see those huge amounts of metal grind to a halt similarly as the BART train on the video had. Or on the other hand perhaps Iliana would simply divert the vehicle in its course, send it into the lush island in the carport. Regardless, she can scarcely deny that she's the Wild Power now- It was then that Keller understood the vehicle wasn't halting. It wasn't working. She heard Iliana make an edgy sound next to her. There was no time for much else. The vehicle was on Jaime, swinging up onto the check. Keller's heart swayed. Furthermore, something streaked out behind Jaime, hitting her from behind. It thumped her flying toward the verdant island. Out of the way of the vehicle. Keller knew what it's identity was even before her eyes could concentrate on the dim brilliant hair and long legs. The vehicle slowed down and shrieked and turned yet Keller couldn't tell in the event that it had hit him. It went slipping, half on and half off the walkway. At that point it remedied its course and thundered along the garage, hurrying ceaselessly. Nissa came running out of the entryway underneath and represented a moment, taking in the scene. Above, Keller was as yet solidified. She and Iliana were both as unmoving as sculptures. At that point Iliana made a little commotion and spun around. She was making excellent progress so far before Keller could get her. She shot past Winnie, leaving a path of flying red beads. ââ¬Å"Come on!â⬠Keller shouted. The two of them pursued her. Be that as it may, it resembled pursuing a sunbeam. Keller had did not understand the easily overlooked detail could run that way. They were directly behind her right down the steps and out the entryway. It was the place Keller needed to be, at any rate. There were two figures lying on the asphalt. They were both still. Keller's heart was pulsating sufficiently hard to get through her chest. Stunning how, significantly in the wake of seeing such a great amount in her life, she could in any case have the urgent motivation to close her eyes. For the principal second, as her look raked over Galen's body, she didn't know whether she could see blood or not. Everything was beating with dull spots, and her mind didn't appear to be ready to put any sort of cognizant picture together. At that point he moved. The firm, flinching movement of someone harmed, however not harmed severely. He lifted his head, propelled himself up on one elbow, and glanced around. Keller gazed at him silently. At that point she caused her voice to comply with her. ââ¬Å"Did it hit you?â⬠ââ¬Å"Just looked off me.â⬠He got his legs under him. ââ¬Å"I'm fine. In any case, shouldn't something be said about ^-ââ¬Å" The two of them took a gander at Jaime. ââ¬Å"Goddess!â⬠Galen's voice was loaded up with frightfulness. He mixed up and made a limping stride before tumbling to his knees. Indeed, even Keller felt stun clear over her before she understood what was happening. From the outset, it resembled a disaster. Diana was holding Jaime, supporting her in her arms, and there was blood all over the place. Everywhere throughout the front of Diana's sweater, all over Jaime's white shirt. It just appeared better on Jaime. In any case, it was Diana's blood, despite everything spilling out of her cut hand. Jaime was squinting and lifting a hand to her brow in bewilderment. Her shading was acceptable, and her breathing sounded clear assuming quick. ââ¬Å"That vehicle those individuals were insane. They were going to hit me.â⬠I'm sorry,â⬠Diana said. ââ¬Å"I'm so grieved; I'm so sorryâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ She was excellent to such an extent that Keller's heart appeared to stop. Her fine skin appeared to be practically translucent in the cool evening light. That sublime hair was undulating in the breeze behind her, each and every strand light as air and moving freely. Furthermore, her expressionâ⬠¦ She was twisting around Jaime so delicately, tears Ming like jewels. Her sorrow it was finished, Keller thought. As though Jaime were her own dearest sister. She minded in a manner that went past compassion and past empathy and into something like impeccable love. Itâ⬠¦ changed her. She was definitely not a light-disapproved of youngster any longer. She was almostâ⬠¦ saintly. At the same time, Keller comprehended why everyone at school carried their issues to this young lady. It was a direct result of that mindful, that adoration. Diana didn't help them to make herself mainstream. She helped in light of the fact that her heart was open, without shields, without the ordinary hindrances that isolated individuals from each other. Furthermore, she was as valiant as a little lion. She hadn't dithered when she saw Jaime at serious risk. She feared blood, yet she'd cut herself in a flash, even wildly, attempting to help. That was fortitude, Keller thought. Not accomplishing something without being apprehensive, yet accomplishing something despite the fact that you were apprehensive. At that time, the entirety of Keller's hatred of Diana softened away. All her displeasure and irritation and disdain. Furthermore, abnormally, with it, the protective disgrace she'd felt this evening for being what she was herself-a shapeshifter. It didn't bode well. There was no association. In any case, there it was. The level however abnormally lovely voice of Jaime was going on. ââ¬Å"I'm OK it was only a stun. Quit crying at this point. Someone pushed me out of the way.â⬠Diana gazed toward Galen. She was all the while crying, and her eyes were the shade of violet precious stone. Galen was stooping on one knee, looking down worriedly at Jaime. Their eyes met, and the two of them went still. With the exception of the breeze unsettling Iliana's hair, they may have been a painting. A scene from one of the Old Masters, Keller thought. The kid with dim brilliant hair and that splendidly designed face, looking down with defensive concern. The young lady with her radiant eyes and impeccable highlights, turning upward in appreciation. It was a sweet and dazzling picture. It was likewise the specific second that Iliana began to look all starry eyed at Galen. What's more, Keller knew it. She knew before Iliana knew herself. She saw a kind of sad shine in Iliana's eyes, similar to more tears going to fall. And afterward she saw the adjustment in Iliana's face. The appreciation became something other than what's expected, something more likeâ⬠¦ acknowledgment. It was as though Iliana were finding Galen at the same time, seeing everything in him that Keller had been gradually figuring out how to see. They're bothâ⬠¦ Keller needed to think boneheads, however the word wouldn't come. All she wound up with was the equivalent. Them two. Visionaries. Kind. Attempting to safeguard everybody. They're ideal for one another. ââ¬Å"You spared her life,â⬠Iliana murmured. ââ¬Å"But you could have been slaughtered yourself.â⬠ââ¬Å"It simply happened,â⬠Galen said. ââ¬Å"I moved without speculation. However, you-you're truly bleedingâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ Iliana looked temperately down at her hand. It was the main thing that damaged the image; it was bloody and stunning. However, Iliana's look wasn't terrified. Rather, she looked savvy past her years and unendingly miserable. ââ¬Å"Iâ⬠¦ couldn't help,â⬠she said. Keller opened her mouth. In any case, before she could state anything, Nissa showed up close to Iliana. ââ¬Å"Here,â⬠she said in her functional manner, extricating the deliberately tied scarf at her throat. ââ¬Å"Let me tie it up until we can check whether you need stitches.â⬠She looked up at Keller. ââ¬Å"I got the tag of the car.â⬠Keller flickered and pulled together. Her mind began ticking once more. ââ¬Å"Both of you, go get the car,â⬠she said to Nissa and Winnie. ââ¬Å"Ill finish that.â⬠She had Nissa's spot by Iliana. ââ¬Å"Are you actually all right?â⬠she asked Jaime, cautious to confront her legitimately. ââ¬Å"I think we have to take each of you three to the hospital.â⬠Some portion of her normal to consider a to be as the dim blue eyes under the delicate earthy colored blasts met hers. In any case, obviously, there wasn't any. Nissa's memory blanking had been excessively acceptable. Jaime essentially looked marginally mistook for a moment, at that point she grinned a little wryly. ââ¬Å"I'm truly okay.â⬠ââ¬Å"Even so,â⬠Keller said. There was a group gathering. Understudies and educators were running from different corners of the structure, coming to perceive what the commotion was about. Keller understood that it had really been just two or three minutes since the vehicle had gone thundering and shrieking along the walkway. A couple minutesâ⬠¦ however the world had changed. In a few different ways. ââ¬Å"Come on,â⬠she stated, and helped Jaime up. She let Galen help Iliana. What's more, she felt peculiarly quiet and serene. Galen ended up having a few pulled muscles and heaps of scratches and wounds. Jaime had wounds and a tipsy migraine and twofold vision, which got her really admitted to the clinic barely amazing, taking into account how frequently she'd been thumped as the day progressed, Keller thought. Iliana required fastens. She submitted to them unobtrusively, which just appeared to caution her mom. Mrs. Dominick had been called from home to the emergency clinic. She sat with the child in her lap and tuned in to Keller attempt to clarify how Iliana had gotten cut while remaining at the science room window. ââ¬Å"And when she saw the vehicle nearly hit Jaime, she was alarmed to the point that she just crushed the measuring glass, and it broke.â⬠Diana's mom looked far fetched for a second, however it wasn't her tendency to be dubious. She gestured, tolerating the story. Jaime's folks had been called to the clinic, as well, and both Galen and Jaime needed to offer articulations to the police. Nissa flashed Keller a look when the police officer inquired as to whether anybody had seen the vehicle's tag. Ke

Things to Do in Cambridge and Somerville
Things to Do in Cambridge and Somerville CAMBRIDGE Welcome to my seventh and final(!) tourist-y post. Previously, I have blogged about events for book lovers, summer in Boston, places in downtown Boston, and three Boston adventures. This time, Im moving away from the big city lights and into the suburbs of Cambridge (which is where MIT is located) and Somerville (which is a subway stop past Harvard). The two towns are great if you want to relax, and Somerville especially can feel like magical world without stress. The events and locations are arranged by subway stop, from nearest to farthest (with respect to MITs main campus). CAMBRIDGE ON CAMPUS BAHFest This April, I attended my third BAHFest (Festival of Bad Ad Hoc Hypotheses), âa celebration of well-argued and thoroughly researched but completely incorrect scientific theoriesâ (Ive blogged more about BAHFest here). This year, two out of six selected BAHFest speakers were MIT undergraduates! I was thrilled to support my friends. As a bonus, the keynote speaker was Ryan North, writer of Squirrel Girl and Adventure Time comics, and he signed a copy of his book for me! Other notable signatures from this years post-BAHFest author meet and greet are below. ON FOOT Cambridge Arts River Festival The Festival, held along a beautiful canal flowing into the Charles River, is an exuberant celebration of the arts. It happens yearly at the beginning of June and features numerous craft and food vendors, multiple stages with dance, music, magic, and theatre performances, and art installations. Unlike many other local events, the River Arts Festival also includes a stage for children. Might not seem like a big deal, but seeing children is so rare on a college campus that its refreshing to see them dancing to kids tunes. I like to come for the crafts and get stuck at a random music performance. CENTRAL SQUARE STOP The Middle East The Middle East Restaurant and Nightclub features multiple music performances on most nights, and is a hugely popular location for frequent concert goers and music lovers. You can probably find a band of any genre, and a couple of times, an MIT student worked as a DJ, so we got a chance to support a classmate! Also great: Middle East is only a 10-15 min walk away from the dorms. HARVARD SQUARE STOP Harvard MayFair As the name suggests, the MayFair happens at the beginning of May as a way to herald the warm days of spring. Its probably my favorite annual event in the area because the joy on the streets is so palpable. There is also free food and stuff from sponsors (last year, I got a free plant, and this year, I got a lantern and energy drinks). Besides that, the event is a pretty standard fair, with multiple music and dance stages, art and food vendors, and some family-friendly activities. Plus a charity chalk drawing exhibit, which produces some true masterpieces, as seen below. My favorite part is seeing returning artists from year to year. SOMERVILLE PORTER SQUARE Harvard Bookstore Warehouse Sale As Ive blogged before, the Sale is a great opportunity to leave the busy world of MIT behind for the quiet, stress-free, and family-friendly Porter Square. I recommend going just for that experience. And if you get some great books and journals along the way too, well, thats even better. Ive certainly gotten some amazing deals. The Warehouse opens its doors twice a year, on the last weekend of June and first weekend of December. DAVIS SQUARE STOP Museum of Bad Art (Somerville Theatre) MoBA is the worlds only collection of art too bad to be ignored, featuring a hilarious and constantly changing assortment of truly terrible paintings and sculptures. It is located in the basement of the small independently-run Somerville (Movie) Theatre. Youd be supporting a local business by going to see a movie and stopping by the museum, and the tickets are actually cheaper than at the chain movie theatres! On more than one occasion, I was the only person in the theatre during a screening, including at Captain America 2â"a pretty good deal. ArtBeat Festival For me, ArtBeat is a fancier version of the Harvard MayFair, with more expensive vendors and a classier crowd. It is one of the areas largest arts festivals, filling up a street in Davis Square for a whole day in July. If youre into modern music, art, or dance, and want to see a range of performances and displays, youll find that here, with over a dozen bands, dance troupes, 75 craft vendors, food, and all-age activities. ArtBeat can feel slightly awkward for a poor college student, and I have certainly been ignored by multiple vendors, but I still love to go every year, as a way to practice being outside the MIT bubble. Below is one of the ArtBeat stages, plus a unique typed poem visitors could pluck from the trees in the square. Post Tagged #BAHFest

Work and Passion
It was the soft opening of the Korean restaurant known as Chefââ¬â¢s Noodle. The board members packed the tables, eyeing the hastily assembled menu with a critical eye and carefully tasting the quickly made food. The workers stood nervously, knowing that their jobs depend on what the board members would say. The general manager of the restaurant, a tired, elegant, 41-year old woman, dressed in a black executive suit, quickly answered the boardââ¬â¢s questions and sated their curiosity, working hard to ensure that the members were satisfied. When the members left and the restaurant closed, it was already 10 PM. Haggard and exhausted, the woman left for home. Yet when she returned home, she still had responsibilities and had to continue to read proposals, write proposals, create presentations, etc., until 2 AM, which was when she could finally sleep. The next morning, she had to wake up at 6 AM to bring her son to school. Her name is Anthea Lee. Other than being the general mana ger of Chefââ¬â¢s Noodle, however, Lee also has other responsibilities as well. She is the Deputy CEO of a large NGO named the ââ¬Å"Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, Hong Kongâ⬠(SRACP) that has more than 300 employees. Combined with her responsibilities caring for her young teenage son, many would consider it folly to load themselves with more responsibilities. However, Lee then took up an additional responsibility of general manager of Bright Services, a 110-staff social enterprise under SRACP that specializes in hiring ex-offenders. Chefââ¬â¢s Noodle is just one of the five types of business under Bright Services and Lee manages it personally. Since many of Bright Servicesââ¬â¢ employees are ex-offenders, they tend to be unprofessional and often suffer from many problems ranging from low confidence to psychological issues. For example, the dishwasher at the restaurant suffered from anxiety disorder. The moment she saw that she had to wash a large p ile of dishes; she immediately broke down, crying and claiming that she could not do it. Lee had to carefully calm her down, giving her support and encouragement. Also, the young supervisor suffered from low self-esteem and, when encountering problems, would always give up and want to quit. Just dealing with her staff gives Lee massive amounts of problems and causes Lee to often work long days, as well as weekends and holidays with little sleep. However, Lee continues to go on this path with passion and determination. ââ¬Å"I believe that people can change and I will always give my ex-offenders a chance,â⬠Lee says. Her friends and family always ask, ââ¬Å"Why do you subject yourself to this?â⬠In fact, she is a member of the middle class and her husbandââ¬â¢s salary is more than enough to keep their family afloat. ââ¬Å"The reason,â⬠Lee says, ââ¬Å"is because I feel passion and an obligation to help others.â⬠Her temperament can be traced back to her c hildhood. Lee came from a grassroots family with 4 siblings. However, even at a young age, she distinguished herself from her siblings. ââ¬Å"Anthea was always distinct from her three sisters and the younger brother. She was always the most kind and intelligent. She took care of all her homework and things and I had no need to worry about. Her teachers always praised her and were all fond of her,â⬠notes her mother. Back in 1980, while Lee was in primary 2, she went with her family to China. At the time, China had only just opened its borders to Hong Kong. Lee and her family became stuck in the queue at the border crossing. Her sisters quickly started barging their way through, thinking of methods to smash through and get to the front. On the other hand, Lee said to her mother, ââ¬Å"Why donââ¬â¢t they just line up like civilized people? If they do line up, then everybody can have a fair chance! Why donââ¬â¢t they care about others?â⬠Once, while Lee was going to school, she saw a beggar lying on the street, weakly asking for money. When Lee reached school, she asked her teacher, ââ¬Å"Why are some people beggars? Why doesnââ¬â¢t anybody help them?â⬠The teacher replied, ââ¬Å"Different people have different reasons. The most important thing is, however, that we donââ¬â¢t just give them money, but we must understand their background and needs and teach them to help themselves.â⬠These words would influence Lee greatly in the future and drove her to pursue a career in social work instead of a job in commerce. When Lee entered the Hong Kong Baptist University, she was in the Social Works Department. Many of her friends and family said to her, ââ¬Å"Anthea, you are so beautiful and nice. Everyone wants to make friends with you. Why not consider being PR or a business executive?â⬠Yet Lee was determined and continued to study social work. After she had graduated, Lee was one of the first batches of graduates to receiv e an employment contract from the social welfare department of the government. At the time, practically every student in social work craved such a contract due to how social workers in the government received a good salary and lots of welfare benefits. Yet Lee turned down the contract and joined an NGO named ââ¬Å"Hong Kong Christian Serviceâ⬠. Lee says, ââ¬Å"Many of my friends and family deemed me insane for turning down such a good opportunity. Yet I felt that the government was too bureaucratic and I would have been unable to follow my passion, which was the whole reason why I decided to be a social worker.â⬠Four years later, despite being employed as a full-time social worker in another NGO named ââ¬Å"Hong Kong Family Welfare Society,â⬠Lee continued to study for a master degree in social works. She decided to specialize in gerontology because she anticipated that there would be lots of problems related to senior citizens in the future as Hong Kongââ¬â¢ s population was aging. While writing her thesis, she got married and soon became pregnant. Yet she continued to research and conduct multiple interviews. She also had to continue to travel to rural areas daily to visit children in foster care because of her fulltime job. ââ¬Å"It was extremely painful and tiring,â⬠she says, ââ¬Å"but I felt that it was necessary and worth it.â⬠Fortunately, Leeââ¬â¢s husband supported her. ââ¬Å"Anthea is indeed extremely busy, but if she feels that she can manage it and she chooses to do it, then I shall always respect her and help her in any way I can,â⬠Leeââ¬â¢s husband says. 2001 proved to be an important point in her career because she started to change from being a frontline social worker to becoming a supervisor. When Lee was on the frontline, her power to change things was severely limited. However, as a supervisor, her authority increased and her passion and creativity manifested itself and she initiated many n ew services, such as the ââ¬Å"School base After School Child Care Project,â⬠which was launched at five primary schools. It provided quick and important assistance to the community and generated additional revenue. She also led teams to develop projects with corporations such as IKEA, Philip Dental Hospital, Mannings, HSBC, etc. Five years of hard work, dedication, innovation and passion later enabled her to join her current employer SRACP as a Business Director in 2006, advancing to her career to another level in senior management. Her continued efforts brought her an ââ¬Å"Aâ⬠grade every year in the annual appraisal, a stunning achievement. She initiated many things such as the first microfinance scheme for ex-offenders so they could start their own business as well as a volunteer development service. Because of her affectionate character, Lee successfully built up strong networks and close partnerships with multiple government officials, funding partners as well as multiple businesses so her innovative projects could constantly receive funding and support. In July 2012, she was elevated to the position of Deputy CEO in recognition of her passion and hard work. Despite being unbelievably busy and burdened with responsibilities, Lee decided to continue studying criminology part-time. ââ¬Å"Being a rehabilitation officer, I believed that it was extremely important to understand the minds of criminals in order to best know how to help them overcome their difficulties and become productive members of the society,â⬠Lee explains. Two years of persistence later, she was successful in gaining a Master of Social Sciences in Criminology. Due to her understanding of ex-offenders from her studies, she created 3 additional lines of employment in Bright Services, helping ex-offenders reintegrate themselves into society. Although Lee has lots of obligations and responsibilities, she cares for her family very much, especially her sonââ¬â¢s dev elopment. While her son was a toddler, he would regularly have to stay in hospital 3-4 times each year due to his asthma. Whenever this occurred, Lee would always go to the hospital and spend the night with her son after work despite having to wake up early the next morning to go to work. ââ¬Å"I also had asthma when I was young and I suffered greatly because of it. I knew what my son was going through at the time so I had to stay in the hospital with him to make him feel better and safer,â⬠says Lee. Lee continued to squeeze taking of her son into her daily timetable when he started going to school. She joined the Parents Association of her sonââ¬â¢s kindergarten in order to know more about his learning. When her son was in Year One, his school told Lee how her son suffered from emotional problems. Due to this, Lee would regularly take leave to go to the school twice a week as a Parent Helper in order to help console her son. Sometimes, when her son was unable to get onto the school bus home for different reasons, Lee would put down her work and take a taxi from her workplace to her sonââ¬â¢s school in order to pick him up. Whenever her son appeared in a school performance or event, Lee would always attend it, often using creative ways to ensure that she could still attend without failing in any of her job responsibilities. Due to the massive amounts of responsibilities resting on Leeââ¬â¢s shoulders, many wonder how she is able to balance her home and work life. She is successful through the use of several ingenious methods. First, she splits the responsibility of taking care of her son with her husband. While her husband takes care of all academic subjects, she handles her sonââ¬â¢s mental health and social life. Also, whenever the SRACP or Bright Services organizes events on weekends, Lee brings her son along with her so she can spend time with him while her son learns about the work that she does. ââ¬Å"In fact, every year,â⬠Le e said, ââ¬Å"I always find some time during the summer or Christmas holidays to go with my son and husband on a vacation to another country.â⬠This helps ensure that she always can spend time with her son. She also does not have to worry about household matters as her mother lives with her family and supervises their domestic helper. One day, if you ever come to Hong Kong and visit Wan Chai, you may find yourself outside a small black business hotel, with a sign advertising the existence of a small Korean restaurant. If you do so, then you must go inside. You will then find yourself outside a small but noisy restaurant jammed with patrons. Occasionally, if you look carefully, you may notice an elegant lady, kindly giving directions to her workers, sometimes spontaneously taking a role as the cashier or waitress. That lady is Anthea Lee, doing her mission.

Is Fair Versus Unfair - 1583 Words
If you could change one thing that you think is unfair in society, what would it be? Would you eliminate government? Would your choice be motivated by current economic situations, the laws practiced daily or something toward social equality? Our society is riddled with mental illness, drug addiction, obesity, loss of community, imprisonment, unequal opportunity and terrible wellbeing for children. A sense of inequality is instilled and thus the question of what is fair versus unfair is brought to the surface. According to John Rawls ideology of justice is that it is equated to fairness. Rawls offers two principles of justice, the first being that each individual should have equal rights and opportunity to liberty. Secondly thatâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦But ultimately, it acts more as a concept, as the meeting would be imaginary and it could never really happen but thought alone is enough for some. No person in that meeting would set imbalanced rules against themselves in turn th e abolishment of exploitation of people, poverty and discrimination. It is out of the Veil of Ignorance, Benjamin Hale presents the Veil of Opulence, where ignorance is replaced with false aspiration; you become under the impression that one day, you could be the next wealthiest person in the world. John Rawls notion of justice ties in with thoughts of Thomas Hobbes; Hobbes introduced what he called state of nature. Imagine waking up one day to find no government, courts, police or anything producing or enforcing laws, this is the state of nature; individuals behave solely out of self interest. Hobbes also introduces what he believes produces this anarchy in the state of nature. On his list, he includes our equality of needs, equality of equality, our limited resources and our capability for limited altruism; the first three of the four are the source for competition. To escape this state of nature, Hobbes turned to a social contract theory, where rules are set at the cost of limit ed freedom; giving up the liberty to kill, with the respect that others will abide as well. This was seen to be accepted because in sacrificing some freedoms, some self-interest is
